Bio:
Raisa is a 4th year student at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus completing her Double Major in International Development Studies and Socio-Cultural Anthropology. She recently completed a SSHRC-funded research project, “Dwelling in Possibility: Tiny Houses as conduits for material, social, and ethical transformation,” to investigate the interrelations of urban poverty and housing insecurity in metropolis cities across North America (including Toronto, ON, Detroit, MI, and Portland, OR).
Raisa currently serves as President of International Development Studies Students’ Association (IDSSA) at UTSC and a Director at TEDxUTSC. She hopes to continue her work in poverty alleviation and sustainable development with a community-based and intersectional focus.
