Bio:
My name is Rimsha Rahman, the collective's Undergraduate Resident. I'm a fourth year UTSC student, majoring in City Studies, and minoring in Urban Public Policy and Critical Migration. We may have crossed paths around campus, as I've been involved with a number of student associations. Currently, I serve as Vice President Academics at the Political Science Student Association. Beyond UTSC, I've also had the opportunity to work with Plan Canada as a Youth Advocate and I will be returning to Employment Social Development Canada this fall as a Junior Policy Officer. More recently, I've been working with SCC on projects that amplify stories about life in Scarborough. I find that COVID19 has exacerbated the social inequalities and systemic barriers impacting the Scarborough community. Using our online presence, I want to continue creating spaces for sharing our lived experiences of this pandemic, because I believe that our stories are more powerful than ever before. Looking foward to reconnecting with you!
